The shooting was fast, public and caught on video, and the arrests were nearly as fast. What police do not have yet is the part that matters most: who ordered it and why. A social media post claimed it for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the same network linked to the 2024 gunfire at Salman Khan's home. Mumbai police say they have not verified that claim, and no weapon has been recovered. Until a handler is identified, three young men in custody answer only half the question.
Three suspects were taken into custody Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, in connection with a shooting that targeted Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai the night before, The Indian Express, The Hindu and the New York Post reported. Police said gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on the 36-year-old actor's vehicle near Pushpa Narsee Park in Vile Parle at about 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. Shroff, the son of veteran actor Jackie Shroff and the star of the "Baaghi" and "War" films, escaped serious harm. The New York Post reported that he had minor injuries to his arm and shoulder from gunpowder and flying glass, while The Indian Express reported he was unhurt.
Two other people were wounded. The Indian Express reported that Shroff's driver and a bystander suffered bullet injuries. Police registered a case at Juhu police station for attempted murder under section 109(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Arms Act charges, The Hindu reported. Video of the attack showed shots being fired at close range at the car, according to The Hindu.
Mumbai police tracked the suspects using CCTV footage and the motorcycle, which was later recovered near Andheri (West) railway station, Deputy Commissioner of Police Raj Tilak Roshan said, according to The Hindu. Investigators traced their route to Surat, where police said they boarded the Pune-Jaipur Express. A joint team of the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force and Kota city police searched the train when it reached Kota Junction around 10:30 a.m. Monday and detained all three within about 15 minutes, The Indian Express reported. Kota police said the men planned to travel on to Delhi and then flee to Nepal. Police said two of them fired the shots and the third rode the motorcycle. Accounts of their ages differ: Roshan said one is 18 and two are 22, while PTI and Kota police described one of the three as a minor. No weapons were recovered from them, police said.
Kota police said one suspect had been in touch with Anil Pandit, described as an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, The Indian Express reported. The New York Post, citing NDTV, reported that the shooters were allegedly paid 50,000 rupees, about $525. Mumbai police said they are examining a social media post claiming responsibility on behalf of the Bishnoi gang but have not verified it, and Roshan said the motive has not been established. The three are being brought to Mumbai for questioning, and the investigation has been handed to the Crime Branch's Anti-Extortion Cell. No one has been convicted. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

A San Diego judge granted Faizon Love two years of mental health diversion and took next week's trial off the calendar.
Diversion postpones the case. It does not dismiss it, and it does not produce a verdict. Harutunian said he disagrees with California's diversion statute and that he is required to follow it. He found prosecutors had not met the statute's clear-and-convincing standard. NBC 7 reported the diagnosis was not said in open court, and the clerk is not named.

Noel Clarke pleaded not guilty in London to six sexual offense charges.
A not-guilty plea at a first magistrates' appearance is the defendant's answer, and Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring sent the case to the crown court because a conviction would be beyond that court's sentencing power, the Daily Mail reported. Variety's account of Clarke's lost libel case against the Guardian is a civil judgment about a 2021 investigation. The five women in the criminal charges stay unnamed.

Daytona Beach police say a 20-year-old told Rick Ross' son "I don't care who your daddy is" before striking him with a handgun.
The suspect's name is not printed the same way. WESH and Complex call him Don Roberts III. WFTV's story, carried on Yahoo, calls him Don Roberts II. The booking listing shows Don Roberts, 20. Despite the shared surname, WESH and Complex report police documents identify the two men as unrelated. WFTV also noted that 50 Cent's post does not show that the lawyer he named has joined the case, or that the suspect has been released. The outcome of Wednesday's bond hearing had not been reported when this story published.
