An arrest is an accusation. It is not a conviction. Officials have not yet publicly detailed or announced the specific charges. The Boulder County Sheriff's Office has noted that charges are accusations. A custody report is not a charging document, and it is not a verdict.

Around 12:02 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, Boulder County Sheriff's Office Communications received a call from a male who reported anxiety. Around 12:08 a.m. he called back. While the call was being transferred to Westminster police, the jurisdiction for that call, he made threats toward sheriff's office facilities, including the jail at 3200 Airport Road and headquarters at 5600 Flatiron Parkway in Boulder. The investigation identified the caller as Tyler Boyd Reilly, date of birth Jan. 7, 1986. Around 12:37 a.m., databases showed his vehicle northbound on State Highway 287 from Dillon Road. Deputies staged at headquarters, the jail, and Communications, with staff inside. A call, a reported threat, and a vehicle location are investigation facts. They are not findings.

Around 1:08 a.m., a sergeant saw Reilly at the front door of headquarters armed with an AR-15-style rifle. The sheriff's office said he fired multiple rounds at the entry area and did not get inside. Personnel were inside. Deputies confronted him outside and took him into custody without incident. The sheriff's office and Broomfield law enforcement did not fire. No injuries were reported in Boulder or Broomfield, and there was no ongoing public threat. The case number is 26-04664. The lobby was temporarily closed. An arrest outside a public building is custody. It is not a conviction.

Reilly is also suspected of stopping at the Broomfield Police Department at 7 Descombes Drive and firing at police vehicles. CBS Colorado reported about half a dozen vehicles damaged, with shattered windows and flat tires. Broomfield is reviewing surveillance. That is a suspicion under review. It is not a proved count. Reilly is a former sheriff's deputy who worked jail and patrol, started with the office around 2012, and resigned May 25, 2024, in lieu of termination for cause. Employment history is background. It is not a charge. Because officials have not announced the specific charges, this account does not name any. The arrest remains an accusation, and Reilly is presumed innocent.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.

WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.

The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.

A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
