A superseding indictment and stacked kidnapping and drug captions are accusations, not a verdict, and interstate transport and alleged torture are elements the government still has to prove. On about Sept. 21, 2026, U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan for the District of New Hampshire announced that a federal grand jury returned a superseding indictment charging six people in an interstate drug conspiracy that spanned nearly two years and culminated in a drug-motivated kidnapping. Tyron Harris and Damarcus Bonner are charged with kidnapping as well as the drug conspiracy.
The drug-conspiracy defendants named in the announcement are Tyron Harris, Damarcus Bonner, Nicole Palardy, Jessenialyz Jones, Sheldon Stocker, and Jesse Emerson. Harris and Bonner are charged separately with kidnapping. Harris, Bonner, Palardy, and Jones are also charged with kidnapping conspiracy. The indictment alleges the defendants kidnapped an adult victim in Claremont, New Hampshire, and brought her to a residence in Springfield, Vermont, where she was held against her will, tortured and beaten, while the defendants demanded money. Springfield police rescued her early on the morning of Jan. 25, 2026, and arrested defendants. A search, as announced, found a firearm, drugs packaged for distribution, duct tape used to bind the victim, and items used for torture. A rescue, an arrest, and a search inventory are what authorities say they did. They are not a finding that anyone kidnapped an adult, transported her across a state line, tortured her, or trafficked drugs.
The indictment alleges the kidnapping was part of a pre-existing multi-state drug operation. The FBI is leading the investigation, with assistance from the Vermont State Police, the Springfield, Vermont, police, and the Claremont, New Hampshire, police. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Matthew Vicinanzo and Charles DeJoie are prosecuting. Who leads the file, and who prosecutes it, are assignments. They are not proof of any element. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuscaloosa police charged Daronte Collins with felony murder after a Saturday apartment-complex shooting.
WBRC's jail photo is captioned Daronte Collins and puts both men at 22. The Tuscaloosa Thread, citing Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall, spells the charged man Deronte and puts both at 20. Patch and the Calhoun Journal also use Daronte and 20. A felony-murder count, which the Thread and the Journal describe as Alabama's rule when someone dies during a robbery, is not a finding that Collins fired the shot that killed Tyson. The Thread says the 25-year-old has not been charged.

High Point police charged Kymberli Bowden with first-degree murder in her 13-year-old daughter's death.
The Oct. 8 release is a new murder count on a case the department charged in 2025 as felony child abuse and concealment of death. It is not a trial. The murder-charge release says she remains in jail with no bond. WXII reported a violent-offense hold and a $1 million bond on the older counts. The 2025 release listed her age as 44. The murder-charge release, WXII, and FOX 35 Orlando list 45.

Chicago police charged Chevazz Campbell in the stabbing death of CTA janitor Julian Mobley.
A detention hearing is the first court date. It is not a finding that Campbell stabbed anyone. The department's Sunday release says he robbed and fatally stabbed a 41-year-old man in the 2000 block of West Lake Street. ABC7 and CBS Chicago name that man as Julian Mobley and describe a fare dispute that turned into a stabbing. The department's charge list and CBS Chicago's shorter summary do not match count for count.
