The Sept. 24 plea is the conviction ICE described. Five years of probation is the sentence ICE said a Davidson County judge imposed. The Oct. 6 arrest is immigration custody. ICE's release uses two labels for the assault count.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, that ICE New Orleans arrested Aldo David Herrera-Andino during a targeted enforcement operation in Nashville on Oct. 6. ICE said he is 22 and from Honduras, and that he was convicted of felony reckless aggravated assault. ICE said he admitted the shooting, pleaded guilty on Sept. 24, and that a Davidson County judge sentenced him to five years of probation. ICE said he is now in custody and will remain there pending removal proceedings.

The count is printed two ways in that one release. The opening line says felony reckless aggravated assault. Assistant Director of Public Affairs Micah Bock said Herrera-Andino "shot a man in the face, left him fighting for his life, and fled the scene," and that "He later admitted to the shooting and pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault." Reckless aggravated assault, and felony aggravated assault, are the two labels ICE used. The release does not name the man who was shot. It does not give the date of the shooting or the address. Bock's account of the shot, the flight, and the plea is what ICE published.

ICE said U.S. Border Patrol arrested Herrera-Andino in March 2021 after he entered the country illegally, and that Border Patrol then released him. That is ICE's account of the 2021 stop and the release that followed it. ERO New Orleans acting Field Office Director Scott Ladwig said, "ICE is committed to protecting communities by arresting and removing illegal aliens who commit serious crimes." He also said that through targeted enforcement operations, ICE "will continue to pursue individuals who threaten public safety and uphold the rule of law." The Oct. 6 arrest is the immigration custody ICE announced on Wednesday. Removal proceedings are the federal case ICE said is still pending.

The guilty plea ICE described is the conviction on the assault count he admitted. The five years of probation are the punishment ICE said the Davidson County judge imposed on Sept. 24. Removal proceedings are a separate federal process. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Lakeland police charged boxer Edgar Berlanga with aggravated battery after an Oct. 18 argument in Polk County.

The two counts are charges from an Oct. 18 allegation. BoxingScene has the charge titles, the bail, and the arraignment time. The New York Post has the affidavit's account of a pistol and a woman who got away to a 7-Eleven. An affidavit is not a conviction. She is not named here.

An FBI agent fatally shot Chadwick Clark during a Dixmoor warrant operation, and the FBI says the shooting is under review.

The FBI account is an agent-involved shooting, one person dead, no agent hurt, and an internal review. The family's account that Clark was unarmed, and a police source's count of people in custody, are not in the FBI statement. A review is not a charge.

Chief Judge Leigh Martin May sentenced Edwin Brant Frost IV to 15 years in the First Liberty fraud.

Monday's term is the sentence on a guilty plea to one count of wire fraud. It is not a jury verdict. The U.S. Attorney's Office, FOX 5 Atlanta, and The Citizen print the same restitution figure. The Newnan Times-Herald prints a figure that is fifty dollars lower.
