Menacing and weapon possession are the charges. No one was reported hurt, and police said the arrest happened without incident. The production and its stars are not accused of anything. A charge is not a conviction.
A 23-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested Friday night, Oct. 23, 2026, after police said he pulled out a knife during a dispute with a crew member on the Brooklyn set of "Miami Vice '85," the New York Post reported, citing the NYPD. The Post reported Alex Perez is accused of disrupting the production near Bay Parkway and McDonald Avenue, close to Washington Cemetery, around 11:15 p.m.
Perez allegedly pulled out the knife during a verbal dispute with a 43-year-old male production staffer, who feared for his safety, police said, according to the Post. "The individual was then taken into custody without incident, and the knife was recovered," the NYPD said, the Post reported. TMZ reported Perez allegedly brandished a large butcher knife. The Post reported Perez was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. TMZ reported he has prior arrests involving alleged gang-related activity, assault with a firearm and burglary, according to the Post. The outcomes of those earlier cases were not reported.
The Post reported the reboot stars Michael B. Jordan as Ricardo Tubbs and Austin Butler as James "Sonny" Crockett, is directed by Joseph Kosinski, and is filming across New York City and New Jersey. Jordan was spotted filming night scenes on the Brooklyn set Friday, the Post reported. No one connected to the production was reported injured, and no statement from the production was reported. Second-degree menacing is the charge. It is not a conviction. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Boosie Badazz's son Ivy Hatch was arrested on armed robbery and battery charges in Livingston Parish.
This is an arrest and a booking, not a finding. The sheriff's office says a victim reported being battered and robbed and that its investigation led to two arrests. Those are allegations in a booking sheet. No court has heard evidence, no prosecutor has filed a bill of information that any outlet has described, and the famous last name changes nothing about the standard the state has to meet. The next real event is whatever the district attorney decides to charge.

Laura Owens was sentenced in Phoenix to 30 days in jail in the fabricated-pregnancy case involving Clayton Echard.
The jail figure is the part 12News and FOX 10 share: 30 days, and 12News said that term ends Nov. 22. The probation figure is not shared. 12News said several years of supervised probation and a deferred jail sentence. FOX 10 said seven years. KTAR is the plea: four counts on Aug. 28, with ten others the agreement says will be dismissed. Prison is what Echard asked for, KTAR reported, and what 12News said the judge did not impose. These accounts did not name the judge.
