Tuesday's appearance set custody and the next date. It did not try the case. FOX 5 did not print a charge list on Tuesday. Friday's FOX 5 story and KTNV list two counts of open murder and hit-and-run charges. The Review-Journal lists two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and three firearm-discharge counts, and does not mention a hit-and-run.
FOX 5 Las Vegas reported Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, that Andre Thigpen, 22, appeared in a Henderson courtroom in the killing of two people last week. The station reported a public defender was appointed, that he will continue to be held without bail, and that he waived a speedy preliminary hearing. It reported a status-check hearing was set for Dec. 1. KTNV reported he made an initial appearance Tuesday and is being held without bail. KTNV did not print a public-defender appointment, a waiver of a speedy preliminary hearing, or a Dec. 1 date. The name is not printed the same way. Tuesday's FOX 5 story uses Andre Thigpen. Friday's FOX 5 story and KTNV use Andre Thigpen Jr. The Las Vegas Review-Journal uses Andre D'Jallon Thigpen. All three use age 22.
The shooting was Friday, Oct. 23. FOX 5's Friday story reported officers responded at approximately 7 a.m. to the 1000 block of Center Street and found a 32-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man with gunshot wounds, both pronounced dead at the scene, and that both lived in the apartment complex. Tuesday's FOX 5 story put the shooting around 7 a.m. near Lake Mead and Warm Springs and did not print the Center Street block or the victims' names. KTNV reported the call at 7 a.m. in the 1000 block of Center Street and named the dead as Valencia Hampton and Christopher Perry, both 32. The Review-Journal reported officers responded to a 911 call around 7 a.m. about multiple gunshots at Cascade Apartments, near East Lake Mead Parkway and East Warm Springs Road, and that Hampton and Perry were pronounced dead at the scene after Henderson Fire Department efforts. The paper reported the Clark County coroner's office ruled both deaths homicides from multiple gunshot wounds. Friday's FOX 5 story said the coroner had not yet released names or a cause, pending next-of-kin notification. That was Friday. The Review-Journal's account is later.
The charge lists do not match. Friday's FOX 5 story reported he was booked on two counts of open murder and charges related to a hit-and-run, and that police said he is a family member of one victim. KTNV reported the same two open-murder counts and hit-and-run related charges, and reported he is Hampton's brother and lived at the apartment. The Review-Journal, citing online Henderson Justice Court records, reported two felony counts of open murder with a deadly weapon and three felony counts of discharging a firearm from or within a structure or vehicle. The paper did not mention a hit-and-run. Tuesday's FOX 5 story did not print a charge list. It called him a family member of one of the victims.
The flight and the gun are also split by outlet. Friday's FOX 5 story reported a 911 caller saw a man flee the apartment and drive away, that at approximately 7:07 a.m. a vehicle matching that description crashed on Lake Mead Parkway near Lake Las Vegas Parkway, and that Thigpen ran from the vehicle and was taken into custody after a brief search. Tuesday's FOX 5 story reported he was located after a crash near Lake Mead Parkway near Lake Las Vegas Parkway and did not print 7:07 a.m. The Review-Journal reported detectives said he fled in Hampton's car, crashed it at a bike shop along East Lake Mead Parkway near Lake Las Vegas, and was arrested around 9:10 a.m. near Lake Las Vegas. The paper reported a black handgun and bullets were in the backpack he had when he was arrested, and that he refused to speak with investigators. KTNV reported surveillance showed him leaving in Hampton's vehicle, which was later found crashed, and that the handgun and a box of ammunition he had when he was arrested matched the expended casings at the complex. KTNV did not print 9:10 a.m. or a bike shop. The Review-Journal did not print a match between the ammunition and the casings.
What police say the argument was about is in the arrest report, as two papers summarized it. KTNV reported Thigpen and Hampton were arguing over his behavior and his personal hygiene and lack of cleaning up after himself, and that Perry was there because he and Hampton share a son who had just left for school before the shooting. The Review-Journal reported the three argued about cleanliness, and that a child who lived with Hampton told police he had left for school before the shooting. The child is not named here. Those are allegations in a charging investigation. Tuesday's order is a custody order and a next date. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Lakeland police charged boxer Edgar Berlanga with aggravated battery after an Oct. 18 argument in Polk County.
The two counts are charges from an Oct. 18 allegation. BoxingScene has the charge titles, the bail, and the arraignment time. The New York Post has the affidavit's account of a pistol and a woman who got away to a 7-Eleven. An affidavit is not a conviction. She is not named here.

An FBI agent fatally shot Chadwick Clark during a Dixmoor warrant operation, and the FBI says the shooting is under review.
The FBI account is an agent-involved shooting, one person dead, no agent hurt, and an internal review. The family's account that Clark was unarmed, and a police source's count of people in custody, are not in the FBI statement. A review is not a charge.

Chief Judge Leigh Martin May sentenced Edwin Brant Frost IV to 15 years in the First Liberty fraud.
Monday's term is the sentence on a guilty plea to one count of wire fraud. It is not a jury verdict. The U.S. Attorney's Office, FOX 5 Atlanta, and The Citizen print the same restitution figure. The Newnan Times-Herald prints a figure that is fifty dollars lower.
