The murder count is the charge. FOX19 and the Cincinnati Enquirer do not print the same title for the police-order count, and they do not describe the Mercedes stop the same way. How Gray died is not in either story. Thursday morning is the first appearance.

FOX19 reported Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, that Springfield Township police charged Caedan Hotchkiss with murder in the death of Rodney Gray, 66. The station reported Captain Nick Peterson said Hotchkiss is accused of killing Gray at a home in the 700 block of Southmeadow Circle late Tuesday, and that officers found Gray's body when they responded to an intrusion alarm around 10 p.m. Peterson told FOX19, "I can say we are investigating a murder and it is still an active investigation." The Cincinnati Enquirer, in a story updated at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday, reported Hamilton County court records say police arrested Hotchkiss, 18, of Cincinnati, after an intrusion alarm Tuesday night, and that a department release says officers entered the home in the 700 block of Southmeadow Circle on Oct. 27 and found Gray dead inside. Around 10 p.m. is FOX19's time. Tuesday night, and the date Oct. 27, are the Enquirer's. FOX19's photo caption writes the street as South Meadow Circle. The body of that story, and the Enquirer, write Southmeadow Circle.

The charge list is not one line. FOX19 reported he was booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center at 6:43 a.m. Wednesday on murder, felonious assault, theft, and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, and that he is held without bond. The Enquirer reported the additional counts, from court records, as felony theft, felonious assault, and refusing to comply with a police officer's order. The Enquirer's sentence reads "refusing to comply with the a police officer's order." Failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer is FOX19's title. Felony theft is the Enquirer's word. Theft is FOX19's. The 6:43 a.m. booking time and the no-bond line are FOX19's. The Enquirer did not print them.

The car is two accounts. FOX19 reported court records allege he stole Gray's silver Mercedes and led police on a chase before he was apprehended. The Enquirer reported court records say he was arrested after attempting to flee from police in Gray's Mercedes. A silver Mercedes and a chase are FOX19's. Attempting to flee in the Mercedes is the Enquirer's. FOX19 reported investigators have not said whether the two knew each other. The Enquirer reported police did not release how Gray died. Neither story describes a weapon.

The court date is Thursday morning. FOX19 reported court officials say he is expected in Hamilton County Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Thursday. The Enquirer reported his first appearance is the morning of Oct. 29. Thursday is Oct. 29. The hour is FOX19's. The Enquirer also reported neighbors John Lesosky and Beverly Lipton described Gray as a quiet neighbor. Lipton told the Enquirer, "He was a good neighbor and a good friend," and, "Gentle and kind." Those are the neighbors' descriptions of the man who died. The murder count, and the counts filed with it, are what the court records list. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Lakeland police charged boxer Edgar Berlanga with aggravated battery after an Oct. 18 argument in Polk County.

The two counts are charges from an Oct. 18 allegation. BoxingScene has the charge titles, the bail, and the arraignment time. The New York Post has the affidavit's account of a pistol and a woman who got away to a 7-Eleven. An affidavit is not a conviction. She is not named here.

An FBI agent fatally shot Chadwick Clark during a Dixmoor warrant operation, and the FBI says the shooting is under review.

The FBI account is an agent-involved shooting, one person dead, no agent hurt, and an internal review. The family's account that Clark was unarmed, and a police source's count of people in custody, are not in the FBI statement. A review is not a charge.

Chief Judge Leigh Martin May sentenced Edwin Brant Frost IV to 15 years in the First Liberty fraud.

Monday's term is the sentence on a guilty plea to one count of wire fraud. It is not a jury verdict. The U.S. Attorney's Office, FOX 5 Atlanta, and The Citizen print the same restitution figure. The Newnan Times-Herald prints a figure that is fifty dollars lower.
