The Irish Times and the Irish Examiner reported Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, that Daniel Simion Toader, 47, was charged with the murder of Loredana Morosanu, 48, at their home on Melville Terrace in Finglas. The Irish Times reported the charge is murder contrary to common law, dated Oct. 26, and described her as his partner. The Examiner reported the same address, the same date, and the same charge of murder, and described her as a Romanian woman. It did not use the word partner. Both reported she was a pharmacy worker and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Irish Times reported he is a Romanian national. Both reported he appeared at a special sitting of Dublin District Court before Judge Máire Conneely.
The clock times for the discovery are not identical. The Irish Times reported Tuesday that emergency services were called at 4:30 a.m. Monday and found her fatally injured. The Examiner reported gardaí went to the house shortly after 4:30 a.m. Monday and found the body. A Monday Irish Times story, published before he was charged, reported gardaí were alerted just after 4 a.m. The Tuesday Irish Times story reported she was originally from Romania and had lived in Ireland for several years. Monday's Irish Times story reported she was from Botoșani, Romania, worked in a pharmacy in Dublin, and had lived in Ireland for more than a decade. Several years and more than a decade are not the same span. Botoșani is in the Monday story only.
The hearing was short, and the two Tuesday accounts do not use the same rank or the same next-date wording. The Irish Times reported he was arrested at 6:58 p.m. Tuesday and made no reply when charged just under an hour later, and that he appeared at about 8:20 p.m. The paper reported Detective Sergeant Niall Murray told the judge that. The Examiner reported Sergeant Niall Murray, of Finglas Garda Station, told the court he had been arrested Tuesday evening, cautioned, and made no reply to the charge. Both reported he had eight consultations with a solicitor while in custody and no lawyer in the courtroom. The Irish Times also reported one further consultation just before court, that he spoke only to a court-appointed interpreter, and that he stood at the start in a blue sweater, grey tracksuit bottoms, and black shoes. The Examiner reported a Romanian interpreter. The Irish Times reported the circumstances of the charge, his situation, and the consequences for bail were explained to him at length. The Examiner reported his circumstances were explained at length, including what a murder charge means for bail. The Irish Times reported the District Court cannot grant bail on a murder charge, which requires a High Court application, and that Judge Conneely noted bail did not arise. The Examiner reported there was no opportunity for bail because of the murder charge. The Irish Times reported most criminal-law solicitors in Dublin have withdrawn services over legal-aid payment reforms introduced in July. The Examiner reported the judge noted that dispute and said, "hopefully that will be resolved soon." The Irish Times reported he was remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court on Nov. 3 by video link. The Examiner reported he was remanded to Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday morning. Nov. 3, 2026, is a Tuesday. Video link is the Irish Times. Morning is the Examiner.
Monday's Irish Times story, which did not name Toader, reported a man in his 40s was found at a shopping centre in Finglas at about 11 a.m. after fleeing on foot, and that gardaí believed she had been killed in a knife attack and had been subjected to violence a number of times in recent months. That is what the paper reported gardaí believed before anyone was charged. Tuesday's charge, as both papers printed it, is murder. The Tuesday stories used here do not name a weapon. The Monday story also reported her body was taken to the city morgue at Whitehall for a postmortem. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Lakeland police charged boxer Edgar Berlanga with aggravated battery after an Oct. 18 argument in Polk County.
The two counts are charges from an Oct. 18 allegation. BoxingScene has the charge titles, the bail, and the arraignment time. The New York Post has the affidavit's account of a pistol and a woman who got away to a 7-Eleven. An affidavit is not a conviction. She is not named here.

An FBI agent fatally shot Chadwick Clark during a Dixmoor warrant operation, and the FBI says the shooting is under review.
The FBI account is an agent-involved shooting, one person dead, no agent hurt, and an internal review. The family's account that Clark was unarmed, and a police source's count of people in custody, are not in the FBI statement. A review is not a charge.
