Osceola deputies arrested Irene Miller at the Orlando airport on four child-neglect counts.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office said Irene Miller, 50, of Kissimmee, was arrested Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, after she left four children, ages 14, 12, 11 and 9, at home while she was in Las Vegas for work. Four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm are charges filed after an airport arrest. They are not a finding that Miller left the home without supervision, and they are not a finding about how the dumbbell fell. FOX 35 Orlando and ClickOrlando do not even count the days of the trip the same way. What happens next is the Osceola case.

FOX 35 Orlando, ClickOrlando, WESH and CBS Miami reported that the Osceola County Sheriff's Office arrested Irene Miller on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, on four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm. CBS Miami, ClickOrlando and WESH reported she is 50 and from Kissimmee, and that she was booked into the Orange County Jail. CBS Miami reported detectives arrested her at Orlando International Airport as she got off a flight from Las Vegas. ClickOrlando reported the sheriff's office released body-camera video of that arrest after she left the plane. FOX 35 Orlando reported deputies met her on the jet bridge when the plane landed. Those are three descriptions of the same arrest. The counts are what the sheriff's office filed. They are not a finding.

The sheriff's office account, as those outlets reported it, starts on Wednesday, Oct. 21. CBS Miami and WESH reported a 911 call just after 8:30 p.m. from a child who said a dumbbell had fallen on a 9-year-old's head. FOX 35 Orlando, ClickOrlando, WESH and CBS Miami reported deputies found four children, ages 14, 12, 11 and 9, in the home with no adult present. WESH and CBS Miami reported the 9-year-old was taken to Celebration Hospital, treated, and released. ClickOrlando reported a hospital treated the child and discharged the child, and did not name the hospital. The outlets reported the sheriff's office said Miller told deputies she had been working in Las Vegas since Oct. 18 and was due back Oct. 23. They reported she said a babysitter traveled from Tampa to get the children ready for school in the morning and to check on them after school, and that the babysitter did not stay overnight. They reported the children's father was contacted and took them to his home. FOX 35 Orlando described the trip as six days. ClickOrlando described Oct. 18 as five days before the Friday return. The dates are the same. The count of the days is not.

ClickOrlando and FOX 35 Orlando quoted Osceola County Sheriff Chris Blackmon: "The Osceola County Sheriff's Office will not tolerate child neglect. These cases will be investigated, and charges will be brought against the parents who are not properly supervising or caring for their children." A sheriff's statement after an arrest is the agency's position. It is not the verdict. The four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm are the charges on which Miller was booked. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Lakeland police charged boxer Edgar Berlanga with aggravated battery after an Oct. 18 argument in Polk County.

The two counts are charges from an Oct. 18 allegation. BoxingScene has the charge titles, the bail, and the arraignment time. The New York Post has the affidavit's account of a pistol and a woman who got away to a 7-Eleven. An affidavit is not a conviction. She is not named here.

An FBI agent fatally shot Chadwick Clark during a Dixmoor warrant operation, and the FBI says the shooting is under review.

The FBI account is an agent-involved shooting, one person dead, no agent hurt, and an internal review. The family's account that Clark was unarmed, and a police source's count of people in custody, are not in the FBI statement. A review is not a charge.

Chief Judge Leigh Martin May sentenced Edwin Brant Frost IV to 15 years in the First Liberty fraud.

Monday's term is the sentence on a guilty plea to one count of wire fraud. It is not a jury verdict. The U.S. Attorney's Office, FOX 5 Atlanta, and The Citizen print the same restitution figure. The Newnan Times-Herald prints a figure that is fifty dollars lower.
