FOX5 said sources reported Michael Sanft dead Thursday night. The Review-Journal said a friend found his body Friday morning.

The Clark County coroner confirmed he was 55, and the cause and manner were still pending, on the Review-Journal and on FOX5. A police spokesperson told the Review-Journal the death did not appear suspicious. KTNV said sources told ABC News it looked like a medical episode, and that homicide investigators are working the scene. USA TODAY spells the island Tongo. KTNV, the Review-Journal, and News 3 spell it Tonga.

Thursday night, Friday morning, and Friday with no hour are not the same time. Did not appear suspicious, a medical episode with no markings of foul play, and homicide investigators working the scene are not the same finding. Pending is not a cause of death. Keefe D, on KTNV, and Keffe D, on FOX5, News 3, and USA TODAY, are not the same spelling. A notice of appeal dated Oct. 30 is a filing. It is not the October sentence.

FOX5, by Martha Cruz, Victoria Saha, and Cody Lee, published Nov. 6, 2026, at 12:08 p.m. PST, with an update line that said 6 hours ago and did not print an absolute clock, reported Michael Sanft, the defense attorney who represented Duane "Keffe D" Davis in the Tupac Shakur murder trial, has died. It reported sources told FOX5 that Sanft was reported dead on Thursday night in Las Vegas, and that on Friday the Clark County Coroner's Office confirmed the 55 year old's passing. 55 year old, on that page, is printed without a hyphen. It reported a cause and manner of death remains pending, and that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is referring all inquiries to the coroner's office. The Review-Journal, by Noble Brigham, with Akiya Leggio contributing, dated November 6, 2026, at 12:53 p.m. and updated at 3:44 p.m., with no zone on either clock, reported a friend confirmed Friday that Sanft has died. It reported Michael Sloan said Sanft's body was found at home Friday morning. It reported a cause and manner of death for Sanft, 55, was pending, according to the Clark County coroner's office, and that a police spokesperson said the death did not appear suspicious. Thursday night, on FOX5's sources, and Friday morning, on Sloan, are not the same time. Referring all inquiries to the coroner, on FOX5, and a police spokesperson who said the death did not appear suspicious, on the Review-Journal, are not the same police line. USA TODAY, by Liza Esquibias, dated Nov. 6, 2026, at 7:17 p.m. ET, reported Sanft was found dead in Las Vegas at the age of 55 on Friday, Nov. 6, that a spokesperson for the Clark County Office of the Coroner confirmed that to USA TODAY, and that his cause of death is pending and no further details have been released. Friday, with no hour, on USA TODAY, is not Friday morning and it is not Thursday night. Office of the Coroner, on USA TODAY, and Coroner's Office, on FOX5, are not the same name. News 3, by Jane Davenport, dated Friday, November 6, 2026, at 5:20 p.m., with no zone on that clock, reported Sanft has died according to the Clark County Coroner's Office, and that no further details about his death have been released. No further details, on News 3 and on USA TODAY, is not a police spokesperson's sentence that the death did not appear suspicious. KTNV, by KTNV Staff, with a byline that said posted and last updated and did not print an absolute clock, reported sources confirmed to 13 Investigates on Friday that Sanft has died, that Sanft, 55, was found dead at his home, and that as of Friday afternoon his cause of death had not been released. Found dead at his home, with no hour, on KTNV, and a body found at home Friday morning, on the Review-Journal, are not the same clock. An editor's note on that KTNV page says an earlier version identified Sanft's age as 54, and that the Clark County Coroner's Office has since responded to media injuries about his death, identifying him as 55. Media injuries is the spelling on that note. The address of the KTNV story still contains the digits 54. Age 54, in the earlier version, and 55, after the coroner's office responded, are not the same age. KTNV also reported that multiple sources told ABC News that as of now Sanft's death appears to be the result of a medical episode, and that it does not bear markings of foul play, that official cause and manner of death are still pending according to the coroner's office, and that because it is a high-profile death homicide investigators are working the scene. It reported those sources said investigators will be pulling cameras and screening for drugs, and that no drugs have been found in the house or anything else to suggest it was the result of an overdose. A medical episode with no markings of foul play, homicide investigators working the scene, and a death that did not appear suspicious, are all in these Friday accounts. They are not the same finding. Pending, on the coroner lines, is not a cause.

The case that put Sanft on those pages is not spelled one way. FOX5, News 3, and USA TODAY spell the client Duane "Keffe D" Davis. USA TODAY also prints Duane Keith "Keffe D" Davis. KTNV spells him Duane "Keefe D" Davis. Keefe, and Keffe, are not the same spelling. FOX5 reported Sanft represented Davis pro bono during the trial in Las Vegas, and that a jury found Davis guilty in August. KTNV reported Sanft had taken the case pro bono, and that Davis was found guilty in August of orchestrating the 1996 murder. USA TODAY reported Davis was found guilty of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon in August for facilitating the fatal 1996 shooting. Orchestrating, on KTNV, and facilitating, on USA TODAY, and guilty in August, on FOX5, are not the same verb. USA TODAY reported that in October, Davis, 63, was sentenced to 40 years to life in prison, making him the first and only person to be charged in the 30-year-old case. That term is the term already recorded from the October sentencing. FOX5 and KTNV, in the pages fetched here, do not print 40 years to life. USA TODAY reported that at the time Sanft expressed his intention to appeal, and that court records obtained by USA TODAY show he filed a notice of appeal on Oct. 30. FOX5 reported Davis' defense team stated they had planned to appeal the conviction, and that a notice of the appeal was filed on Friday, October 30, court records show. He filed, on USA TODAY, and the defense team, on FOX5, are not the same filer. USA TODAY prints Oct. 30 and does not print Friday. FOX5 prints Friday, October 30. October 30, 2026, was a Friday. A notice dated Oct. 30 is later than the intention to appeal that the October sentencing accounts described. It is not a new sentence.

The biography is not one biography. USA TODAY reported that according to his biography on the SOS Injury Lawyers site he grew up on the island of Tongo and moved with his family to San Diego when he was 12. Tongo is the spelling on that page. KTNV reported the biography says he grew up in Tonga and moved to San Diego at 12. The Review-Journal reported he grew up on the island of Tonga, came to San Diego at 12, later served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and studied at BYU-Hawaii. News 3 reported the biography said he grew up on the island of Tonga. Tongo, and Tonga, are not the same island. FOX5 reported that according to his website he moved to San Diego at the age of 12 and later attended BYU-Hawaii, and it calls him the lead lead trial attorney at SOS Injury Lawyers. Lead lead is the doubling on that page. The Review-Journal reported the biography said he tried 150 cases to jury verdict, and that according to the State Bar of Nevada he went to law school at BYU and was licensed in 2002. FOX5 reported he tried over 150 cases to jury verdict. News 3 reported he tried more than 150 cases to a jury verdict. KTNV and USA TODAY, quoting the biography, say more than 150. 150, over 150, and more than 150 are not the same count. News 3 quoted local attorney Michael Troiano: "Mike was a genuinely honest, humble and good human being." FOX5 quotes the same statement without the comma after honest. Honest, humble, and honest humble, are not the same punctuation. The Review-Journal quoted prosecutor Marc DiGiacomo, who tried the Davis case: "Michael Sanft was one of the premier defense attorneys in Las Vegas and Las Vegas lost a good lawyer and more importantly to me, I lost a friend." That is what DiGiacomo said Friday. It is not a cause of death. KTNV reported Sanft also defended former Las Vegas City Councilwoman and then-Pahrump Justice of the Peace Michele Fiore in her 2024 wire fraud and conspiracy case, and that he withdrew after a federal jury found her guilty. The Review-Journal reported he represented her during that 2024 trial, that she was found guilty, and that President Donald Trump then pardoned her. Withdrew after the guilty verdict, on KTNV, and represented her during the trial, on the Review-Journal, can both be true. They are not the same sentence. News 3 reported she was convicted of federal wire fraud and later pardoned by President Donald Trump. The Review-Journal reported Sloan said Sanft was divorced and had two children. The children are not named here.

A death the coroner has confirmed, with a cause and manner still pending, is not a finding about the August verdict or the October sentence. Davis's conviction is the judgment those outlets describe. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WJLA says Judge Neal Kravitz found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. NBC4 says he pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Voluntary manslaughter while armed, and voluntary manslaughter, and manslaughter, are not the same count. A bench outside Father O'Connell Hall, and a park on the campus, and a small plaza by that hall, and the 600 block of Alumni Lane, are not the same place. Brookland-CUA Metro, and Brookland Metro, and Brookland-Catholic University Metro, are not the same station line. Snapchat messages, and a message, and an urgent message, are not the same account. Cash App, and cash app, and $300 with no app named, are not the same line. Judge Kravitz accepted the plea and found Jaime Macedo guilty of voluntary manslaughter while armed. A 12-to-15-year range is not the sentence. Sentencing has not happened.
