Las Vegas police booked Naima Ahmadi on an open-murder charge after her husband was found stabbed to death.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal, KTNV, FOX5 Las Vegas and News 3 reported that officers were called Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, to the 6700 block of Del Rey Avenue. They reported Ahmadi, 53, was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. The coroner had not named her husband. FOX5 placed the block near Oakey. The others placed it near Charleston.

An open-murder booking is the charge police announced. It is not a conviction, and it is not a coroner's identification of the man who died. Four stations agree she is 53, that he was pronounced dead in the apartment, and that police say she stabbed him and then herself. They do not agree on the cross street, the minute, or, in the Las Vegas Sun's case, the spelling of her last name.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal, citing the Metropolitan Police Department, reported that a stabbing was reported just after 5:30 a.m. Thursday in the 6700 block of Del Rey Avenue, near Charleston and Rainbow boulevards. It reported officers found a man and a woman inside an apartment with apparent stab wounds, that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and that the woman, 53-year-old Naima Ahmadi, was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. It reported police said she fatally stabbed her husband and then stabbed herself, and that she was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on one count of open murder with a deadly weapon. It reported the coroner's office will release his identification and the cause and manner of death. The story was updated at 6:13 p.m. Oct. 23. Thursday was Oct. 22.

KTNV reported officers responded around 5:34 a.m. on Oct. 22 near Rainbow and Charleston boulevards, that the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and that Ahmadi, 53, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It reported the investigation found she fatally stabbed her husband before stabbing herself, and that she was booked for open murder with a deadly weapon. Its opening line said she was charged with murder. News 3 reported the call came at about 5:34 a.m. near West Charleston Boulevard and South Rainbow Boulevard, and that she was booked on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. FOX5 Las Vegas reported officers responded at approximately 5:34 a.m. near Rainbow and Oakey Boulevards, and that she was booked on a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. It also reported the coroner will release the victim's identity. Oakey and Charleston are not the same cross street. Just after 5:30 and 5:34 are not the same minute. One count, in the Review-Journal, is a number the other three stations did not print. KTNV's word murder and the later words open murder with a deadly weapon are both in that station's story.

The Las Vegas Sun, citing a Metro news release, reported police responded at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday in the 6700 block of Del Rey Avenue, and that officers found a man and a woman with apparent stab wounds. It spelled her Naima Ahmad, 53, in the sentence that said she allegedly stabbed her husband before stabbing herself, and then spelled her Ahmadi in the sentence that said she was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon. It did not print a cross street. Ahmad and Ahmadi are both on that page. The Sun's photograph is crime-scene tape from a July police shooting at a Walmart on Boulder Highway. It is not this apartment and it is not her. The Review-Journal's page image is a stock Metro photograph, not a portrait. KTNV, FOX5 and News 3 did not publish a booking photograph. No outlet in this file has named the man who died. Police saying the investigation found she stabbed him and then herself is the department's account. It is not a plea, and none of these stories printed a weapon recovery, a motive, or anything she said after the booking. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Lakeland police charged boxer Edgar Berlanga with aggravated battery after an Oct. 18 argument in Polk County.

The two counts are charges from an Oct. 18 allegation. BoxingScene has the charge titles, the bail, and the arraignment time. The New York Post has the affidavit's account of a pistol and a woman who got away to a 7-Eleven. An affidavit is not a conviction. She is not named here.

An FBI agent fatally shot Chadwick Clark during a Dixmoor warrant operation, and the FBI says the shooting is under review.

The FBI account is an agent-involved shooting, one person dead, no agent hurt, and an internal review. The family's account that Clark was unarmed, and a police source's count of people in custody, are not in the FBI statement. A review is not a charge.

Chief Judge Leigh Martin May sentenced Edwin Brant Frost IV to 15 years in the First Liberty fraud.

Monday's term is the sentence on a guilty plea to one count of wire fraud. It is not a jury verdict. The U.S. Attorney's Office, FOX 5 Atlanta, and The Citizen print the same restitution figure. The Newnan Times-Herald prints a figure that is fifty dollars lower.
